Kàko — Pažnja, putnici!

FEATURE ARTICLE

For the Winter 2025 issue of Kàko magazine, themed “The Aesthetics,” I contributed a feature article titled “Pažnja, putnici!” / “Attention, passengers!”, exploring the interplay of design, functionality, and cultural significance in transportation vehicles and stations. The piece examines how these spaces transcend their utilitarian roles to become iconic symbols of movement, connection, and architectural beauty.

Several philosophers have argued that aesthetics follow ethics, and this article delves into the connection between the aesthetic expressions of public transport vehicles and their stations, and the cultural, social, and economic shifts throughout modern history. Transportation systems serve as vivid examples of brand expression for countries, cities, and companies, reflecting the overall zeitgeist of specific periods in time. The article was selected as one of six pieces by external authors out of 55 applications.

Kàko Magazine is created by dedicated authors for curious readers. It features stories about creative individuals, guardians of tradition, quality living, intriguing places, and social phenomena – with a strong emphasis on the art of storytelling.
